It is highly recommended to go full screen and avoid leaving the game window until the game is finished. Switching tabs or windows may freeze or disconnect your game.
All games are 1v1 PRIVATE matches. First player listed in the pairings invites using a unique password. Passwords should only use lowercase letters or numbers — not both together. Avoid common ones like "123." Players have 4 minutes to join the table or be DQ’d. Once both are on the table, the game will start automatically.
The object is to pot all your balls (solids or stripes) and then the 8 ball. Pocketing the 8 ball early is an automatic loss. Scratching while potting the 8 ball is also a loss (except in Reverse format). BIH and safeties are allowed, but BIH is only allowed on the 8 ball if your opponent scratches while attempting it.
You may use your opponent’s ball to pot yours, but if you miss potting your own ball, it gives your opponent BIH. If your opponent is on the 8 ball and misses without scratching, do NOT move even if it says BIH.
After the game ends, post results clearly in the lobby. For example:
Player A def Player B
Player A // Player B
Won against Player A
Make sure the winner is announced on the table before leaving. Leaving before this may void the result and lead to a DQ.
Use the “SHARE LINK” feature above the top right pocket to invite players easily.
Ensure passwords are lowercase if using letters.
Play full screen and stay in it to avoid disruptions.
Avoid multitasking—switching tabs/windows may remove your cue, cause lag, or even force you to skip a turn.
Maintain a solid internet connection — unstable connections that cause game interruption result in your loss.
If gameplay is disrupted (cue disappears, extreme lag), resolution will be left up to the players and TD. Options include restarting or issuing a DQ depending on the situation.
Do not leave the table immediately after potting the 8 ball. Wait for the winner to be confirmed before exiting. Failing to do so may void the game result. Remaining in the lobby with an old password can also cause issues in later games.
Help new players whenever possible — it shows great sportsmanship and builds community. If there are technical issues, direct them to the Bug Reports section on the forum at Play 8 Ball Pool on CasesArcade.com.
The 8-ball must be potted in a corner pocket only. Pocketing it in a middle pocket is a loss.
No bank shots allowed. If a bank occurs, cue passes to opponent. Accidental banks are allowed.
The 8-ball must be potted in the top middle pocket only. Potting it elsewhere is a loss.
Scratching at any point is an automatic loss. Break scratches are exempt from this rule.
The first player to pot the 8-ball wins, even if they scratch while doing it.
Players must lose twice to be eliminated. 8-ball on break = re-rack.
Teams of 2 play best of 3. Player 1 from each team goes first, then Player 2, alternating rounds.
The 8-ball must be pocketed in the same pocket as the last ball sunk.
The 8-ball must be banked into the pocket. Cue banks are allowed if it helps pot the 8.
The 8-ball or cue must bounce off two rails before being pocketed.
The 8-ball or cue must bounce off three rails before being pocketed.
